This little analogue recording studio is tucked away in Argyle Court, Glasgow and opened to allow musicians to record to tape. As a CIC, the studio also runs education and training programmes inviting young people to learn all about the recording process. They wanted their site to be found in a google search for "analogue recording glasgow" which, coming top (5th November 2009) isnae bad..

A complete design including logo and colour schemes. When Chris Campion asked me to build him a website for his holiday let company he gave me a photograph of the Edinburgh skyline as a starting point. The design progressed from there through various versions before we agreed on this one. A neat JavaScript carousel brings the browsing experience to life.

When Tickles the Clown found Trouble the Clown a dynamic duo was born and the ultimate children's party organisers got busy with marketing their entertainment services. I was approached to provide a website that would fit with their existing brand; the artwork, by a friend of the clowns, was already being used on printed material. The JavaScript on the expanding scroll maintains the sense of fun and bright simplicity. Visit Tickles and Trouble

Susan Irvine wanted to give her business a boost and through a chance meeting with a friend of mine came to Sounds Like Design for a website. The design was inspired by the fantastic Japanese artist Hiroshige and in particular his work "The Plum Garden in Kameido". Combining rich reds and soft pastel greens with a simple sketch of a plum tree resulted in this vibrant and warm design. The logo with halos was an extension of an earlier Angel design. Susan herself came up with the leaf for the menu buttons. Visit Heal Body and Soul

Grant and I were working on a TV commercial when we got chatting about websites. He had bought his domain name and had given page building a go but needed some help. A week later I sent him some preliminary designs from which he picked this. His requirements were a simple, clean but modern and funky look which would present information as the top priority. A fully accessible website using the wonderful background-image property to maintain a cool look.
